Bryan George

Well hello. I started playing trumpet in third grade when my parents bought me one to join the elementary school “band”. The frustration of trying to learn the thing made me want to play it even more.

Eventually, I made it to high school where I played all four years in the school’s marching and concert bands. During my senior year, my band director had me play euphonium for our wind ensemble. Once I graduated, I didn’t play my trumpet much until I started leaving it at Brandon’s house.

After sitting in on some jam sessions with The Schwam, they asked me to record some parts for their album. I was then invited to play some shows with them, the first being their album release party. I realized then, that all those years of dressing in a marching uniform to play my instrument had really disassociated me from my love of the trumpet. Playing on stage changed that.

Ever since then, I’ve been addicted to playing with The Schwam.
